Dr. Michael Lehmann's specialist fields

Dr. Lehmann has specialised in minimally invasive (arthroscopic) surgery for around 20 years. To date, he has carried out well over 10,000 shoulder operations - the majority of them using a minimally invasive technique. Total endoprosthetic reconstructions and revision procedures following multiple previous operations on the shoulder complement his global spectrum of skills. In 2004, he was one of the first doctors in Germany to introduce hip arthroscopy as an innovative, reconstructive and joint-preserving treatment option.

Focus on shoulder and hip joint problems

Today, he focuses especially on the care and treatment of amateur, performance and high-performance athletes, as well as the development of innovative concepts for the conservative and operative treatment of shoulder and hip joint conditions and injuries.

Since 2015 Dr. Lehmann has been a partner of the Ethianum Klinik in Heidelberg.

Dr. Michael Lehman is also a Member of the International Society for Hip Arthroscopy (ISHA) and the European Society for Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (SECEC). He has also been a founding member of the German Association of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (DVSE) since 1993.
